Thanks for the pics of darkness with grey smudges and red glowiness. :). Did you scare them away or stay indoors until they wandered off? The link on the last picture was interesting. That crazy Mother, Nature. What will she think of next?

I stood my ground! I was clicking madly, trying to get the right camera setting… which, alas, I could not find until they had passed by. They were bemused to discover me on THEIR porch, but seemed to harbor no ill will.
(Hm, trying not to write EXCEPT FOR ACTUAL PROSE! The javelinas broke me down!)

I can actually see a javalina in the last picture. I don’t know if it’s because I’m on a laptop instead of a iPad, or because I now have a javelina of my own so I know what to look for.
